If you are not screened frequently for STDs, then you may be putting your life and fertility on the line. Many STDs do not have visible symptoms and can only be found by medical diagnosis.

The Eden Clinic provides comprehensive and confidential diagnosis for several of the most common STDs in Oklahoma in a single appointment that typically takes one hour.

Does having a Sexually Transmitted Disease affect your pregnancy options?

YES!

When considering your pregnancy options, it is important to know if you have a Sexually Transmitted disease. It is always best to be treated for a STD as soon as possible, but if you are considering having an abortion, you MUST receive treatment prior to having that abortion procedure.

Women who have an untreated STD (like Chlamydia or Gonorrhea) are up to 25% more likely to develop Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) following an abortion procedure. So, it is important to be tested for STDs prior to making any decisions about the outcome of your pregnancy.
